Before joining Prodigal as V.P. of Media and Public Relations, Bevacqua was a television reporter and anchor for stations in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Ohio. In 15 years on the air, Bevacqua earned a reputation for journalistic excellence backed by strong writing and keen understanding of complicated issues. Bevacqua joined Prodigal in early 2008 and has managed many successful public relations efforts for a variety of clients. Bevacqua advises decision makers, coaches clients for press engagements and public speaking, maintains strong media connections to utilize on clients’ behalf and develops both proactive and crisis messaging for news media.
Since 2010, Bevacqua has developed a proficiency in serving the needs of energy related businesses and he manages those accounts for ShaleComm. Bevacqua has gained a deep understanding of the energy industry through participation in professional conferences and has been asked to speak to various groups on the importance of messaging and public relations in the emerging shale energy industry.
Bevacqua’s areas of expertise include public relations and media management, government relations counsel, community relations and crisis communications. He attended Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, Mass., and the graduate journalism program at Emerson College in Boston, Mass
